PILLMANN® EQUIPMENT

Softgel capsule production line

A production line for softgel capsules: it prepares the gelatin mass and the fill, forms capsules with liquid, suspension or oil fill, and dries them in drums.

Country of origin·Taiwan

Where it fits

Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical plants

Industrial output of softgel capsules where accurate dosing and a consistent shell matter.

Liquid, suspension and oil fills

The line handles liquids, suspensions and oils; for suspensions and emulsions the fill reactor can carry a homogenizing head.

Small batches and series production

The SGC-15G fits small batches and development work, the SGC-250 and SGC-250G fit series production.

What matters in the equipment

01

Drum drying

Capsules are dried with dehumidified air in drums and leave ready for packing, without tray drying.

02

Laser ribbon control

The SGC-250G monitors the gelatin ribbon thickness with a laser; capsule weight accuracy across the range is ±2%.

03

Servo drives and CIP

Servo drives keep the forming drums and cooling rollers synchronized, and CIP heads on the reactors shorten cleaning between batches.

About this equipment

The line puts the whole softgel process into one chain. The gelatin mass is cooked in a reactor with a water jacket, an agitator and a vacuum pump; the fill is prepared in a separate reactor, with a homogenizing head and a nitrogen port when the formulation needs them. Both reactors carry CIP spray heads, and the mass and the fill travel to the forming machine in heated mobile vessels.

The forming machine runs on servo drives, so the forming drums and cooling rollers stay in step. Formed capsules are dried with dehumidified air in rotating drums and come out ready for packing, with no need to spread them on trays to finish drying. Control is built around a Siemens processor with a touch screen and a Russian-language interface.

The range has three models. The compact SGC-15G with 103×100 mm drums suits small batches and development work, the SGC-250 with 150×250 mm drums is meant for series production, and the SGC-250G adds laser control of the gelatin ribbon thickness. On all three the fill volume is 0–2.5 ml, and total power is 8 kW for the SGC-15G and 12 kW for the other two. We agree the line configuration with you for your task.
